Louis Kramer's renown as one of the top American costume jewelry designers of the 20th century is a testament to his talent. His New York-based company, in operation from 1943 to 1980, used the finest Austrian crystal in their exquisite pieces and an array of groundbreaking techniques and styles. Kramer's designs were so exceptional that he collaborated with Christian Dior in the 50s and 60s, producing high-end jewelry for the fashion house. Anything bearing the names Kramer, Kramer of New York, and Christian Dior by Kramer is a guarantee of exceptional quality. Though the company closed in the 1970s, his legacy lives on.
